The Linksys network needs improved security so that it can work smoothly and flawlessly. That’s why you need to enhance its security and safety once you are done with its Linksys ac1200 setup. Although the extender comes with the most powerful security encryption such as WPA2 and WPA3. But, you must make some other changes in the wireless advanced settings which enhance the safety of the network to a great extent. That includes changing the network SSID name and password. As the extender comes with its default network name and password which are case-sensitive and easy to access. 

At the first point, access the advanced settings and management window on the web interface of your extender. Then, choose the Security Encryption option and select the WPA3 which is robust among others. After that, select the network settings and change the SSID network name to give it a unique identity. Also, change the password and make a strong one this time. Apart from that, select Parental Control and restrict the sites that are harmful to your network. Finally, make a Guest Network apart from your own network to provide access to visitors or external users.
