Method and application of Greeting Card Printing

Greeting Card Printing refers to the working process of folding printed books and single pages into a certain size according to the sequence of page numbers. When you begin your publication process design, you first need to determine how your publication will be Greeting Card Printing.

When designing the Greeting Card Printing method, you should consider the size of the publication, the number of pages, printing and binding equipment, etc. Usually, the position and order of the text and text in the book are based on the rotation of the paper and the position of the folding seam in the process of Greeting Card Printing. At present, the methods of Greeting Card Printing can be divided into parallel Greeting Card Printing, vertical Greeting Card Printing, mixed Greeting Card Printing, as shown in FIG. 1. Special Greeting Card Printing, etc. Parallel Greeting Card Printing method and special Greeting Card Printing method (including envelope Greeting Card Printing method, sector Greeting Card Printing method, etc.) is mostly used for the design of folding long strips of printed matter, such as advertisements, instructions, maps, tables and illustrations in book stickers. Vertical Greeting Card Printing is the most widely used method of Greeting Card Printing, which is mainly used for the design of book pages.

The mixed Greeting Card Printing method is also called the comprehensive Greeting Card Printing method, that is, there are parallel Greeting Card Printing and vertical Greeting Card Printing in the same book. The mixed Greeting Card Printing method applies to book stickers in the form of 30 folds of 6 pages or 30 folds of 9 pages.

Second, the method and application of patchwork

Collage means that the page to be printed is arranged in the order of page numbers according to its Greeting Card Printing method, and its size is determined by the printing format and the size of the printed paper. The collage can be divided into: the collage of parts and the collage of books.

1. Assembly of parts

For example, a print that needs to be printed with a positive and negative format of 16K can be spelled into a double-sided printing plate as shown in Figure 2, and in order to save printing plates, it can also be spelled into a single-sided self-turning plate as shown in Figure 3, which does not need to be changed during printing.

If it is a 16-folio magazine cover, it can be spelled into a self-turning version in the following way when assembling, and its typesetting method is shown in FIG. 4.

If it is four fold, it can be spelled into different formats according to the different paper. For example, for a fan-folded booklet of 100×185×4 folds as shown in FIG. 5, when printed on 787×1092 (mm) paper on a quad format, the layout is rolled as shown in FIG. 6. When printing in this way, due to the need to exchange the mouth, it has higher requirements for printing equipment and paper when printing high-precision prints.

2, the compilation of books and periodicals

When books (magazines, albums, atlas, etc.) are assembled before printing, It is necessary to first understand the size of the book, the number of pages, the binding method (horse binding, wire flat binding, wire locking or binding), the Printing color number (monochrome, two-color or four-color), the thickness of the paper used and the Greeting Card Printing form (manual Greeting Card) Printing or machine Greeting Card Printing) and other process elements, in order to determine the method of its composition.
