Wikipedia stands firmly on its standpoint of not paying compensation to writers for their contributions. Writers can voluntarily contribute to Wikipedia and produce informative articles for the audience.  Wikipedia is a free-to-use platform for writers and contributors where they can publish their content with the aim to provide original and high-quality Wikipedia writing services to the readers. The concept of paid writers or editors is not yet approved by the Wikipedia platform. It does not pay the book writers directly. They contribute on behalf of an external third-party client who can pay them money for their content.
