WoW WOTLK Classic Producer Aggrend said that there would be a method of transferring Season of Mastery characters to the Lich King Classic servers. "Since the start of Season of Mastery the topic of where characters from the season would finish up after the season's over was a hot topic of discussion not just for the community but for the team internally too. We've spent plenty of moments talking to each other, talking to SoM players, and reading comments in these forums and on social media, and it's very clear that there's a strong desire to to continue in the storylines of our favorite characters throughout the season as they progress to Wrath of the Lich King Classic. We're thrilled to let everybody know that "there will be a way for Season of Mastery characters to be transferred onto either Classic Era either Wrath of the Lich King Classic for no cost as the current season starts to wind down." More details will be shared shortly. Timing-wise, it is still quite a long way off and is expected to happen after the release of Naxxramas in Season of Mastery. Naxxramas raiders will have time to breathe prior to the event kicking off. The long-awaited Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be available later this year. It will include a new level caps as well as an entire continent Northrend, Death Knights and plenty more. When it goes live in 2022 this well-crafted re-release of the hit expansion from 2008 will be accessible at no additional cost to all players with an active World of Warcraft subscription. Players from equally the famed Alliance and the powerful Horde can take advantage of the game's very first Hero Class.
