Not really, the games has around 1.000 active players across EU and NA combined. The PvP is average at best and there's a significant hurdle to enter where you'll not be able to interact with any player for a few weeks, if not more. Then you have the fact that because there are so few players  Elyon Gold there's no game-based skill-based matchmaking available.

This is a good summary. Although you can have enjoyable playing the terrible PvP game, you find yourself constantly matched against people that you cannot beat at all. I'd recommend Lost Ark, it just looks like an up-and-down Elyon however it's not boring, gameplay- and performance-wise. Especially the endgame PvE and PvP game content is well-designed.

But top-down is not for everyone. I had to play till around 30 levels before I began to enjoy the game. I was awed by the mechanics of Elyon, but absolutely not. It's possible to grind for a couple of months before getting to a place where you can compete in PvP.

If you prefer, you can instead, Lost Ark for a few hours to gain access to PvP queues where stats and skill points can be separated from PvE. Both games are extremely smooth, but Lost Ark has 1000 fewer issues.

In the meantime, I played Lost Ark for 10 hours or more, and am currently playing on the enormous instructional island (not actually the tutorial ), but the continent following it where you're able to go on "kill three spiders" or "talk to the kitchen" adventures for hours upon hours and decided to skip another 10+ hours to find out if it eventually starts being fun. Elyon however attracted me by its non-smiling approach of handing out 8 optional "kill 10-20 Lizardmen" quests instantly and killing things for more than six seconds at the same time.

This being said, I'm not an avid PVP guy, yet there aren't many players playing that I would like to be ganked once in a while. 10 hours sounds like a long time but I'm probably misremembering. It is believed that 10-hours is the speedrun record for level 50. But you'll need level 26 to unlock PvP for Lost Ark. I know you said you aren't into PvP, but that is the focus on this discussion. I'm glad to hear that you're still enjoying Elyon however. I would cheapest Elyon Gold like to be able to do as well.
