When my friends at Tempe Tourism invited me to spend a weekend exploring the city, I was overjoyed. I immediately fell in love with Tempe's quirky spirit, undeniable energy, and its warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Tempe, which houses Arizona State University and is a vibrant, thriving college town, is situated just east of Phoenix. With a population of just under 200,000 people and a median age of 28, the city exudes a young, hip vibe and offers a wide variety of dining and nightlife options.

This is a city with something for everyone, whether it's trying the regional cuisine, enjoying the exciting nightlife, exploring the nearby hiking trails, taking in the thriving arts and culture scene, or simply lounging poolside in the unending sunshine! Tempe is the ideal location for a short weekend getaway because it has so much to offer (and it's also a great stop on the way to the Grand Canyon!).
