Reactive Machines

Reactive machines do not retain memories or lessons learned from previous experiences. They simply react to their surroundings and select the best solution from the available options. It cannot draw conclusions from its previous experiences.

We are all familiar with IBM's DeepBlue, a chess-playing supercomputer that defeated international grandmaster Garry Kasparov.

DeepBlue is capable of identifying pieces on a chessboard and even predicting its opponent's next move.

It can also choose from the next possible moves, but it is unable to retain memory or bring past experiences into the picture when making decisions, so previous moves have no bearing on its future decisions.

Upskilling and staying current in the workplace require an Artificial Intelligence Course.
