Perfluorohexanone, at room temperature, is a clear, colourless, slightly odorous, easily vapourised liquid fire extinguishing agent, which is not harmful to human health or the environment and leaves no residue after release. PFC does not contain the elements bromine and chlorine and does not damage the ozone layer after extinguishing a fire.
