Plush dolls have now become a fancy toy. Plush toys range from the abstract to the realistic and cover a wide range of races, ages and genders. Each country and nationality has developed its own plush toys with regional and cultural characteristics due to its own needs and cultural background.

I'm sure you all have your own treasured plush toys! However, plush toys are made up of plush fabric and cotton, both of which are prone to external stains and water stains, which can become a breeding ground for bacteria. When playing, we will inevitably have skin-to-skin contact with our plush toys, so it's important to clean them. Cleaning plush dolls can be dry-cleaned or hand-washed, so here is a guide to cleaning plush dolls.

Dry cleaning of plush dolls

Ingredients: coarse salt and a large plastic bag.

Method: Place the coarse salt and the soiled doll in a large plastic bag, then tie the pockets tightly and shake vigorously to get the coarse salt in contact with the surface of the doll. You will find that the white salt will slowly turn black and the doll will be much cleaner.

Washing of plush dolls

Preparation: detergent, water, washing machine

1. Hand wash method

Small toys can be washed directly by hand with water. Dissolve the detergent directly in the water and gently rub the dirty parts of the doll. Or use a soft sponge and wipe the surface with detergent, wipe the dirty parts clean and then wipe again with water.

2. Machine washing method

You can first use the rubber to smear the parts of the accessories that are afraid of wear and tear, put them into the washing machine and choose a soft and delicate washing method. After washing, tumble dry and hang in a cool place to dry, and pat the toy intermittently to make the fur and stuffing fluffy and soft.

Another reminder: for larger dolls, you can find the filler slit, take out the filler (acrylic cotton), tape the parts that are afraid of wear and tear, put the skin of the toy into the washing machine and wash softly, tumble dry and hang in a cool place to dry. Then place the stuffing into the skin, shape and sew it together. For parts that don't dry well, use a hairdryer to dry them properly.
