The most recent Diablo IV Gold cinematic trailer from Blizzard has Inarius in a battle against Lilith Armed forces at both sides. While this footage doesn't include Tyrael's involvement directly, his invention of Horadrim and involvement with the Paladins of Sanctuary suggests that he's in the game. Dark and light clash across the field, and the now-mortal Tyrael is somewhere in between.

It is highly likely that his presence will be felt through these intermediaries until circumstances require his intervention. Tyrael is still feeling the repercussions of the destruction of the Worldstone at the end in Diablo 2. The mysterious artifact was able to shield Sanctuary from Heaven and Hell and now is the protector of the region in its place. Tyrael doesn't appear to be leading any further actions into Hell or travel any further in The Pandemonium Fortress, where he might provide advice like Deckard Cain to those who choose to listen.

Five classes playable in Diablo have been announced so far and all of them are variants of earlier games. With each of the games that has been released so far has introduced something new, perhaps Tyrael will become an element of the battle in the battle, helping to balance the sides by providing players with the possibility to summon angelic or demon powers to perform duties to Sanctuary. This type of mechanic can easily be implemented on the multi-tree development that was revealed for the series.

It is unlikely that Blizzard plans to create Angels and Demons into classes, considering that the franchise focuses on the people who are caught between the two. But as the mortal truly who is caught between Heaven and Hell Tyrael is in the most unique position in the entire Diablo legends. He's more likely to play acting as a balancer throughout the story, and maybe even an impartial voice, instead of being a party player like previously. Even when forced to take sides, Tyrael is now aware of his role as a mortals, and that's the way he is likely to be a part of the events of Diablo 4.

Blizzard's approach to speccing out your character's abilities in Diablo 4 is a blend of the Studio's approach to Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. As the executive producer and director of the Diablo franchise Rod Fergusson put it, "Diablo 2 felt like you were locking in. You could respec every time you faced a challenge. But with D3 you kind change your character as you were changing your clothes. Everything was gear-based as opposed to skill-based."Fergusson added, "I think the fact that we have skills on the equipment [in buy Diablo 4 Gold is really nice for experimentation -- as a sorceress I [might] get Blizzard [on a pair of boots] three levels before I should and I can try Blizzard to see if I actually want it."
