The benefits of dumbbells are very obvious to most people that work out on a regular basis. You can get a complete full body workout with just the weight of one set of dumbbells. The bigger and heavier they are the more effective your workout will be. If you are doing any type of resistance training these days then you need to make sure that it is coming from an area that uses gravity to provide resistance. Most men have no idea what these parts of the body are called and that is where dumbbell exercises come in.

Dumbbell exercises use a heavier weight than normal weight training because they allow you to add more weight as you go. This provides a much more difficult challenge for your muscles and body to handle. Most bodybuilders use these exercises to target a very specific area of their body called the chest. Some people are lucky enough to be blessed with six pack abs while others spend their lives trying to achieve that look. With dumbbells you can target your back and really give your abs a workout that they have never experienced before. You can easily target and build the biceps, triceps, forearms, calves and thighs in a single set by using dumbbells over a bar.

There are many different dumbbells that you can use for the different parts of this training so you can work out whatever muscle group you want. It doesn't matter if you want to lose weight or build muscle all you have to do is start with a dumbbell and just keep doing sets on that bar until you either reach failure or stop but not both. By working out these muscles with dumbbells you are helping to stimulate the growth and repair of your muscles. One reason that this type of workout is so useful is because it uses so much of your time compared to other workouts.

Another great thing about using dumbbells for your workouts is that you can always do a variety of areas, which means that you will always be fresh during your workout. Most people tend to stick to only a couple of exercises but a good routine which incorporate dumbbells and alternate reps is the best way to ensure that you are always staying fresh during your workout. You can even mix them up by having an alternating pattern so that you are working out different areas of your body. For example you could have a barbell with a bent barbell in one hand and a lighter weight in the other.

You can also use dumbbells for their benefit of increasing grip strength. Grip strength is important because when you hold a heavy weight in your hands, your grip becomes more powerful and more capable of containing the weight. This means that if you want to build some serious muscle you have got to start focusing on building up your grip strength. You can easily do this by either purchasing a pair of weighted dangle keys or getting a pair of kettlebells.

Dumbbells can also be used to help with your squat and dead lift workouts. You can do squats by laying on your back with your feet flat on the ground and your arms hanging by your sides. Next you will grip the edge of a kettlebell by wrapping your thumb around the weight and lifting the barbell off the floor until it is resting on your chest. Next you will lift the barbell straight up until it is at your chin. At this point you should be using a heavier weight than when you started. To do the dead lift simply lift the barbell straight up until your palms are facing away from your body, then lower it slowly and repeat.
