After examination, if it is found that the child indeed needs glasses, it is necessary to choose a legitimate glasses-fitting institution or hospital. Pay attention to the specifications of the frame, and the size of the glasses should match the size of the child's face.

Pay attention to the relationship between the measured pupil distance and the size of the prescription glasses. The most ideal scenario is that the distance between the pupils of the subject's eyes should be the sum of the size of the lens circle and the size of the central beam. That is, it is consistent with the geometric center of the mirror ring.

Choose the vertical position of the glasses. It is best to have the upper part of the glasses frames circle exactly at the same level as the eyebrows, and the lower edge of the eyeglass frame circle precisely located at one-third of the face. This is the best position to choose the eyeglass frame in a vertical direction.

Scientific optometry is the first step in optometry. In our medical practice, children's glasses should first be dilated with dilated eye drops (there are mainly two types in clinical practice: 1. compound tropicamide, rapid dilation; 2. atropine, slow dilation), in order to fully relax the ciliary muscle and make the optometry results more accurate. After dilating pupils, first, use a computer for optometry to determine the approximate degree. Based on the results of the computer optometry, the optometrist will wear glasses of different degrees for the children to determine the prescription for glasses.
