  • Do a barrel roll 10 times is a phrase commonly used in video game culture, originating from the game Star Fox 64. It refers to the manoeuvre performed by the player's spaceship, involving a 360-degree roll in mid-air. The phrase has since become a popular internet meme, often used humorously or as a challenge to perform the manoeuvre repeatedly. "Do a barrel roll 10 times" implies a difficult task that requires skill and precision, and may be used to encourage perseverance or mockingly challenge one's abilities.

  • The only known survivor of the serial killer known as the Railroad Killer, Holly K. Dunn, discussed her recovery journey and answered audience questions at the Laurel County Public Library.

In 2017, Dunn and Heather Ebert co-wrote the book "Sole Survivor: The Inspiring True Story of Coming Face to Face with the Infamous Railroad Killer" about how holly dunn survivor overcame her trauma, learnt to forgive, and refused to let one night define the rest of her life.

According to holly dunn survivor, most people assume her book will be depressing because such a terrible incident happened to her; however, this is only discussed in the first chapter, and the next 300 pages focus on her recovery and what she termed her "unconventional approach" to recovery.

On August 29, 1997, Holly Dunn and Chris Maier were out for the evening near the University of Kentucky campus. The two were walking back from a party they had visited earlier in the evening while conversing beside a railway line when a guy suddenly approached them with what seemed to be an ice pick or screwdriver.

They begged the stranger, eventually revealed as a Mexican illegal immigrant by the name of Angel Maturino Resendiz, to take their money and leave them, but he refused. Instead, he viciously attacked them, first tied their wrists and ankles and commanded them to lie face down on the ground.

Holly watched in horror as Resendiz brutally killed Chris, her lover, by hitting him first with a 50-pound rock. After killing Chris, the attacker turned his attention to Holly. Resendiz stabbed and sexually assaulted Holly, and then brutally beat her in the face and on the back of her skull with a piece of wood. Resendiz left her unconscious and left the area.

Holly Dunn managed to regain consciousness and, somehow, gathered the energy to move to a nearby street in search of assistance. After being left for dead, Holly managed to escape the intentions of her attacker and locate a residence from which to get assistance.

At 2:49 in the morning, a guy helped Holly and made a 911 call from a house close to the attack area. She was transferred to the University of Kentucky hospital, where she spent five days while suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and sadly missed Chris' funeral.

Holly had many facial and head injuries, a damaged eye socket, and a broken jaw. holly dunn survivor life was also forever changed.

While many people's lives would be irreparably affected by this incident, Dunn fought hard to recover from her grief. She dealt with everything from embracing Maier's death to learning that her tragedy had not left her a broken person.

Dunn participated in the establishment of Holly's House, an advocacy centre in Evansville, Indiana, for abuse victims. Each time a holly dunn survivor book is purchased, a portion of the proceeds goes toward supporting Holly's House.

Several of Maier's friends who helped her in healing now get together with Dunn once a year. After Maier's frequent usage of the phrase "life is good," they refer to themselves as the "Life is Good Group."

Dunn eventually moved out on her own, but she never felt lonely since she often had guests visiting. She also spent some time sleeping off with a butcher knife next to her bed.

Later, Dunn said that the support of her husband and children had been crucial to her recovery (her oldest son's middle name is Christopher after Maier, and he too possesses an old book from his childhood).

The holly dunn survivor claimed that she had to do a lot of therapy before getting married, though. A few months after the tragedy, Dunn and her future husband started dating. However, they eventually split up because Dunn needed time to process being sexually abused.

According to Dunn, she utilises comedy as a method of healing and can find humour in almost everything, whether or not it is intended to be humorous (adding that it is both a gift and a curse).

  • RETIRED HUSBAND
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to WalMart. Unfortunately, like most men; I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter, from the local WalMart:
    Dear Mrs. Harris:
Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion, in our store.
We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to, ban both of you from the store.
Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:
    1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.
    2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
    3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.
    4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3.
    5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.
    6. August 14: Moved a, 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
    7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.
    8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.
    9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
    10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
    11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while, loudly humming the, 'Mission Impossible' theme.
    12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his, 'Madonna Look' using different sizes of funnels.
    13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
    14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed;
'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'
    15. Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?
    And last, but not least:
    16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile; then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.
If you don't send this to your dearest friends; You will be depriving them of some good humor.
