Tại miền Nam, thời tiết và khí hậu có những đặc điểm rất khác so với miền Trung và miền Bắc. Trong Nam chỉ có 2 mùa mưa và nắng còn miền Trung và Bắc thì 4 mùa xuân Hạ Thu Đông. Vì vậy mà đòi hỏi chế độ chăm sóc cả hai vùng miền cũng đều khác nhau.

3Một số lưu ý khi lặt lá mai

Theo dõi thời tiết: Nếu dự báo thời tiết nửa tháng cuối năm nắng nóng hoặc trời ấm áp thì chắc chắn hoa mai sẽ nở sớm. Người trồng mai nên lặt lá muộn. Ngược lại nếu có mưa to hay khí trời chuyển lạnh thì năm đó mai sẽ nở hoa trễ cần lặt lá sớm hơn mọi năm.

Quan sát nụ hoa trên cây để tiến hành lặt lá: Cần quan sát nụ hoa xuất hiện trên cây trước khi lặt lá ra sao để định ngày ra nụ chính xác nhất.

Nụ hoa còn nhỏ thì phải lặt lá vào ngày 13 tháng Chạp

Nếu nụ hoa còn nhỏ thì phải lặt lá vào ngày 13 tháng Chạp. Nếu nụ hoa chưa lớn hẳn phải lặt lá vào ngày rằm hoặc sang ngày 16 tháng Chạp. Nếu nụ hoa đã lớn nên lùi ngày lặt lá đến 18, 19 hoặc 20 tháng Chạp.
